Welcome to Vintage Legal. These Terms and Conditions (together with the documents referred to herein) govern the terms on which you may:

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Site, submitting any work or content, or participating in any program offered by Vintage Legal. By accessing or using the Site or by submitting any material to Vintage Legal, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using the Site or engaging with Vintage Legal services.

Part I – Using the Site and Engaging with VintageLegal
1. Information About Us: The Site is owned and operated by VintageLegal, an independent legal education and research initiative operating in India. References to “VintageLegal”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our” refer to the VintageLegal team and its authorised representatives.
2. Scope of Services and Materials: The Site and associated platforms may include free resources, internship-related materials, workshop content, research drafts, editorial materials, publications, internal documents, and other educational or professional resources (collectively, the "Materials").
3. Access and Availability: Access to the Site and Materials is provided on a temporary and conditional basis. VintageLegal reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site or Materials at any time without prior notice.
4. User Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring that your access to the Site complies with these Terms and that any information provided by you is accurate, complete, and up to date.
5. Prohibited Conduct: Users must not misuse the Site by introducing malicious content, attempting unauthorised access, engaging in plagiarism, misrepresentation, or any activity that disrupts the functioning or integrity of VintageLegal.
Part II – Internships, Submissions, and Work Ethics
6. Nature of Internship Engagement: Internships offered by Vintage Legal are educational and professional training engagements and do not constitute employment unless expressly stated in writing.
7. Ownership and Use of Submitted Work: All work, research, drafts, content, or materials submitted by interns during the course of their internship shall be deemed to be created for internal research and development purposes of VintageLegal and shall remain the intellectual property of Vintage Legal.
8. Publication and External Use: Vintage Legal may, at its discretion, use submitted work for internal research, training, or publication on its own platforms or partner websites. Interns wishing to publish the same or substantially similar work on any external platform must obtain prior written permission by contacting the official email address from which their internship offer letter was issued.
9. Work Ethics and Discipline: Interns are expected to respect assigned tasks, adhere strictly to deadlines, accept reviews constructively, avoid unnecessary delay requests, and maintain professional conduct throughout the internship.
10. Confidentiality: Interns must maintain confidentiality of internal communications, documents, research topics, and unpublished materials shared during the internship.
Part III. Intellectual Property Rights
11. Ownership of Content: All intellectual property rights in the Site, branding, content, Materials, and publications are owned by or licensed to Vintage Legal unless otherwise stated.
12. Limited License: Users are granted a limited, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Site and Materials strictly for personal, educational, or permitted professional purposes.
14. Restrictions: Users must not reproduce, distribute, modify, adapt, translate, transmit, display, publish, or commercially exploit any Materials, in whole or in part, without prior written consent from Vintage Legal.
15. Author Attribution and Moral Rights: Where content is contributed by authors, interns, or collaborators, their moral rights, including the right to attribution, are respected; however, Vintage Legal retains the right to publish, archive, promote, reproduce, and disseminate such content across its platforms and partner channels.
16. User-Generated Content License: By submitting any content to the Site, users grant Vintage Legal a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, and distribute such content for educational, promotional, research, and institutional purposes.
17. Plagiarism and Academic Integrity: Vintage Legal enforces strict standards of originality and academic honesty, and any instance of plagiarism, copyright infringement, misrepresentation, or unethical use of Materials may result in removal of content, suspension or termination of access, and initiation of appropriate legal or disciplinary action.
18. Third-Party Materials: Any third-party content displayed on the Site remains the intellectual property of its respective owners and is used under applicable licenses, and users are required to comply with all terms and conditions governing such third-party materials.
19. No Implied Rights: Except as expressly stated herein, no rights, title, or interest in any intellectual property are transferred to users, and all rights not expressly granted are reserved exclusively by Vintage Legal.
20. Enforcement of Rights: Vintage Legal reserves the right to take appropriate legal, technical, or administrative action against any unauthorised use, misuse, or infringement of its intellectual property rights.
Part IV – Public Areas and Content Standards
21. User Contributions: Any content submitted by users, including comments, drafts, or materials, must comply with applicable laws, ethical standards, and these Terms.
22. Content Standards: Contributions must be original, lawful, respectful, and relevant and must not be defamatory, misleading, plagiarised, or infringing upon third-party rights.
23. Moderation: Vintage Legal reserves the right to review, edit, or remove any content and to take appropriate action in case of violations.
Part V – General Provisions
24. Disclaimer and Liability: The Site and Materials are provided on an “as is” basis. Vintage Legal disclaims liability for inaccuracies, interruptions, or reliance placed on the Materials to the fullest extent permitted by law.
25. Privacy: Personal information is processed in accordance with Vintage Legal’s Privacy Policy.
26. Termination: Vintage Legal may suspend or terminate access or engagement in case of breach of these Terms.
27. Amendments: Vintage Legal reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
28. Governing Law and Jurisdiction: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and courts having jurisdiction in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
